The OAC offers two self-catered accommodation blocks which are suitable for year-round residential stays; these buildings can also be hired hourly for day & evening visits during the week. Renwick, the larger of the two is a chalet style, purpose built bungalow located at the top of the site overlooking the orchard. Plimsoll is the grade 2 listed converted barn in the courtyard which boasts a catering kitchen.
Both buildings have full central heating, emergency lighting systems, fire alarms & extinguishers. Toilet rolls are provided but not bedding or cleaning materials; a full inventory of equipment can be obtained from the office on request.
Plimsoll is a two-storey building which was originally a barn, build around 1667 with accommodation for 24 people. Downstairs, Plimsoll has a fully equipped kitchen and large hall which can be used for dining, indoor crafts and activities. Upstairs, there are 2 dorm rooms sleeping 10 in each plus 2 double bunk rooms for leaders. There are 2 washrooms each with 3 wash basins, 1 shower and 2 toilets.
Plimsoll has no minimum occupancy.
Renwick is a light and airy purpose-built chalet style building, with accommodation for 30 people. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a large hall which can be used for dining, indoor crafts and activities. There are 2 bunk rooms sleeping 12 in each plus 3 double bunk rooms for leaders; one with the benefit of a third bed which can be used as a sick bed. There are 2 main washrooms; each with 2 toilets, 3 wash basins and 2 showers as well as 2 separate washrooms with toilet, wash basin and shower fitted for disabled use. There is an additional disabled toilet located in the entrance by the hall.
