Friends of Whiteley Woods OAC

Friends of Whiteley Woods Outdoor Activities Centre was founded in 1988 by Nancy Wight, a former Brownie Guider in South East Division.  The aim of Friends is to raise funds and support guiding activities at Whiteley Woods.

We meet twice a year, usually in the spring and autumn; this gives members opportunities to visit the centre and hear what is going on. Newsletters are sent out during the year as appropriate.

Thanks to subscriptions and the generous donations of our members, Friends of Whiteley Woods OAC have been able to support the ongoing development of the centre since 1988.  Over the years our donations have been used to provide many items including equipment for archery and kayaking, trek carts, signs for the camp sites, new picnic tables, and kitchen equipment.

We always welcome new Friends, from both within our local community and Girlguiding, who are interested in caring for our wonderful centre. Membership subscription is a minimum of £10. We would love to have your support.  For more information, please contact oac@whiteleywoods.org.uk, with Friends of WWOAC in the Subject box.
