Volunteer day at the OAC

20190320_140331

The OAC is looking for a team of volunteers to come and help prepare the centre for the summer season on the Sunday the 28th of April. The jobs will include preparing the campsites and wet weather shelters for campers to use this summer, tidying up the site and generally looking after the beautiful grounds.

Starting at 10am you can drop in at any time during the day and really get stuck in; we are hoping to get as many jobs ticked off the list and completed before 4pm. We have a range of jobs to suit all ages so whether your bringing the family or your guide/scout units, everyone is welcome.

We are hoping the weather will stay lovely and dry but please dress appropriately; hats and sun-cream are a must for the warm weather but in case of rain please bring wellies and your water proof! We will be providing some refreshments (tea, coffees and juice) but make sure you bring your own lunch.

We are proud of the 9 acre mature woodland that the OAC sits upon but it does take a lot of TLC to keep it looking good all year round.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
