Pond Life
Did you know that Whiteley Woods OAC has it’s very own pond? Built to accompany the Hall it was originally used by the families that lived in the Hall for boating.

Located by the front gate, you can get a great view of the pond as you drive into the centre. Although it is only small, there is plenty of space for activities and it even has it’s own island.
Currently the pond is home to a family of ducks who enjoy the quiet life at the centre, a Heron who frequents the area when water levels are low and various other creatures.

These days the pond is used by groups not only across Sheffield but from those visiting from further afield. Groups can enjoy Kayaking, Raft Building and pond dipping which are all run on our little pond.
